My launch date is re-set for May 11th at Ellen Plumb’s City Bookstore from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00. I am excited to finally say, Heroes by Design is published!

The Launch Struggle

Well I have waited for the books to arrive only to discover that I have to wait until May 11th for the live launch at Ellen Plumb’s. It will happen at 4:30 P.M. on Saturday May 11th.

I will read and sign books and give away swag including, character bookmarks, a three chapter mini book of Hero’s Journey and CrossWing zipper pulls, so bring your tween, teen to Ellen Plumb’s City Bookstore.

I will also have hard copies of the. Parent, Teacher, guide available and a challenge for spoken word teen poets.

I received a proof today and went through it! I have ordered books and will have them soon. The launch date will be set as soon as they arrive and I will post it here and on Facebook.

Hero’s Journey is ready for formatting and I am working with Villa Design on a cover. All is well!

God’s timing

I sit here chewing my lip and thinking about all I have to do before my launch, which is supposed to be on the 9th of March. The ARC book had some formatting issues and my formatting person has been sick. Not good.

I am trying to be patient. My character, Sela has trouble with this particular trait as well. I could possibly learn from her that I have to let go and let God. His timing is not always my timing.

If indeed I am not able to get the formatting done today and make the corrections that I have to make for the hardcopy and e-pub, I will have to change the launch date. It is not the end of the world and I can publish later in the month. I will listen and learn and let you know soon!

I am so very close to receiving my ARC copies. I am looking forward to soon be able to offer my book, HEROES by DESIGN, for sale. The launch date is March 9TH, 4:30 P.M. at Ellen Plumbs City Bookstore in Emporia, Kansas. I am excited and terrified.

I am also getting ready to have a pre-sale through my Samcart. It will be a special deal for those who want a signed copy and swag. I am creating some magnetic character bookmarks, cool inspirational zipper pulls and a sample three-chapter sneak peek of HERO’S JOURNEY, book II of the Hero series. Also, the first five buyers will be put in a drawing for a Kindle Fire. As soon as I have these super fun items in hand I will post a picture.

First Friday Thoughts

We have a wonderful bookstore, Ellen Plumb’s, that is very supportive of the local talent. The musicians, writers, and poets are invited to participate in, “open mic,” on first Friday every month. I am going to share what I plan to read for this December, First Friday.
